SKI LIFT / CABLE CAR / GONDOLA HIGH~ANGLE RESCUE!

FOR USE ON ANY HEIGHT CABLE.

THE above scenario depicts the rescue technician first climbing a cable tower / then traversing the cable / rescuing stranded victims / then moving on to the next stranded victims. This is typical when the cable is at great height.

WHEN the cable is lower / the highly portable / 3.5 pound *99* SYSTEM can be raised to the cable level by throwing / or shooting / a tag line over the cable / then hauling the system aloft & tying it off to a secure object on the ground. The rescue technician can pull him / her ~ self up to the victims level if necessary / to deal with injured victims / or he can stand and perform rescues as shown in the graphic above.

*WARNING**WARNING*

MANY experts agree that this rescue must be completed in *LESS THAN FIVE (5) MINUTES*.

NO WAY an Off~Site rescue team (such as a Fire Company Rescue Squad) will be able to get on site / set up / & perform this rescue in less than FIVE minutes.

WITH an On~Site *99* SYSTEM present / the rescue technician can either lower himself / or come up from beneath the victim.

HE SETS his handle / freeing both hands / and then creates a *LINK* (as pictured above ~  in the red circle) / from his harness to the victims harness.

ONCE CONNECTED / the rescue technician lifts both his weight & his victims weight far enough (usually 2~3 feet) to create *slack* in the victim's *FALL~STOP*.

HE THEN DISCONNECTS the victim's *fall~stop~strap* & slowly / & safely / lowers them both to the safety of the floor / or ground / where first~aid is waiting.

THAT, MY FRIEND, is the proper end of this story.

And ~ These Situations Always Occur At The Worst Times, And Under The Most Adverse Imaginable Conditions ...
